I especially liked the American Memory section from the Library of Congress. There are games and quizzes as well as other activities that present history, geography, and political science in innovative ways. The content, though appropriate for older elementary and middle school students, can be advanced; for example, there is a section on interpreting political cartoons that I found challenging but easy to use.
